About Jolie "Jolie" Julie Bergeron Steele is a native of Chauvin, Louisiana. A graduate of South Terrebonne High School, Nicholls State University, and the University of New Orleans, Julie holds a Masters degree in educational technology.  The only high school graduate in her family, Julie sometimes feels like Marilyn Munster.  As she says, "I have all my teeth, wear shoes, went to school and I'm the weird one in my family.  Although I will admit, I did have a pet alligator growing up and worked as a deck hand on a trawl boat to pay for college."  Mixing homespun  humor with true life stories, Julie does not do your typical Boudreaux type jokes.  She weaves in the antics of Boudreaux and Thibodaux into her real life adventures.  Heck with a family like hers, who needs jokes.
